Chicago Area Companies
Tuesday, August 8, 2006
Current Technologies Corporation (CTC), an IP-service
provider based in
Naperville will use this $100,000 IPG grant to further develop its
wireless
surveillance system, which combines outdoor wireless transmission with
networked video surveillance, for
the homeland security market. The system has been successfully piloted
in
Bellwood in which 22 cameras installed in high crime areas with feeds
connecting them to the Bellwood Police Department contributed to a 15

Chicago's Brookfield Zoo Turns to Milestone IP Video
Surveillance
November 4, 2005
Integrator Current Technologies Corporation uses Milestone network
surveillance software in zoo installation
OCTOBER 2005 - The Brookfield Zoo is using the newest technology with
an IP network video surveillance system, installed by Current
Technology Corporation, to ensure safety and security throughout the
grounds.
Crowd control, accidents, and other security-related incidences are all
issues that this large metropolitan zoo manages. Widespread areas have
to be covered, and an older analog surveillance system was not
practical for planned expansions. That is why the Brookfield Zoo
decided to use their IT network backbone to run Milestone IP-based
surveillance software, which allows easy scalability and the
flexibility to add or move cameras around for different exhibits and
events.
